Zones

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria. Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

Every child is guaranteed a place at their designated neighbourhood school. Families may seek enrolment for their child at a school that is not their local school and should be enrolled if that school has sufficient accommodation and the enrolment aligns with the school’s enrolment management implementation plan.

To support each child’s right to attend their local school, and to make sure the priority order of placement is followed, schools may need to verify a child’s permanent residence. This can occur for both in-zone and out-of-zone children, either before an offer of enrolment or placement is made, or as a condition of the offer.

To assist Belmont High School in confirming your child’s eligibility for enrolment, please refer to 100-point-address-checklist  Documents should show the same address and parent’s/carer’s name as recorded on the school enrolment application form.

It is important that we verify your child’s permanent residential address as this helps ensure that we are allocating places at our school fairly and in line with the Placement Policy.

Year 7 2027

Belmont High School will hold an Open Night on 17th March 2026 for families and Grade 6 students who will begin secondary school in 2027. Government primary schools will provide Grade 6 families with a “Year 6 to Year 7 Placement Information Pack” during week 1 of Term 2.  The Application for Year 7 Placement for 2027 should be returned to the primary school by 8 May 2026.

Families whose child attends a non-government primary school should collect the placement information pack from Belmont HS from the beginning of Term 2 2026.
