Leadership Opportunities

Many opportunities exist for students to assume leadership roles at all year levels and to learn and grow in these roles. Student Leadership is a priority at Belmont and includes opportunities to represent the school in School Captain and Junior School Captain roles, House Leadership, Form Leadership, and leadership of many of our other cocurricular programs, such as music, sports and Wakakirri. The school also runs a very strong Student Representative Council that looks after the needs of students. School Captains attend a leadership camp at the beginning of the year and attend a Leadership Day with the Junior School Captains. Year 9s have the opportunity to apply for a term long leadership camp at the School For Student Leadership. Students also involve themselves in a full range of social service and fundraising activities and take leading roles administering these programs.
