The Belmont High School Parents’ Association (PA) plays an integral role within the Belmont High School community. 

Parents Association meets once a month during school terms on a Monday evening. At these forums we hear from the Principal, who reports on current school matters, and we often have a guest speaker talk to matters of interest within our group. 

The Parents Association…… 

  • promotes a sense of community within the School and is a great place to meet other parents 
  • are kept informed about the everyday happenings of the School, it’s programs, initiatives, progress, etc. 
  • meet on the first Monday of each month during school term (about 8 meetings a year) 
  • welcomes the Principal to our meetings. We have the opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback, raise any concerns 
  • has representation on School Council 
  • has representation on Canteen Committee and other committees as required 
  • is a friendly forum to discuss issues relating to the School 
  • fosters new and existing friendships 
  • has the opportunity to volunteer at School events such as the Fun Run. 

Volunteers from Parents Association operate the Lost Property and Secondhand Uniform/Book Shop. The shop is open most Friday mornings throughout term. Funds raised through the sale of second hand items are directed back to the School to support our students.
