Belmont High School’s Tanybryn Camp is located on Wild Dog Road in the Otway Ranges, approximately 14km from Skenes Creek. Positioned between two large and richly forested river valleys, its magnificent surroundings allow for a wide range of hikes and outdoor activities. The camp can accommodate up to 50 people with two dormitories, a main hall with a fully equipped kitchen, heating, cooling, log fire, and lounge, dining, and recreational facilities.
Our Tanybryn program is designed to provide each student with new skills and challenges, and we aim to give students experiences that help to develop self-confidence, self-reliance, initiative, and cooperation with others. Students from Year 7 attend Tanybryn camp each year as part of the ongoing program and special programs also make the most of the camp’s facilities at other times.
